Balladeer Don Thorp is a native New Mexican, born in the small town of Artesia. He has taught music and been a director, adjudicator and clinician for school and church choirs for over 50 years. He also served as vocalist with the New Mexico State University - Alamogordo Jazz Band. He now enjoys life primarily by making music. He is available to perform for civic organizations and churches, as well as other venues.
