Sunquaver Artists - Celia
Celia is a singer/songwriter/storyteller/comedienne. She has been called a combination of an earthy Enya, Joan Baez, and Tina Fey. This Red-Headed Renaissance Woman has opened for many notable authors. She has provided live music for the Off-Broadway production of "Rum and Vodka," and received a "Best Storytelling CD" Nomination for "Irish Tales" by the International Just Plain Folks Awards. She has delighted audiences from coast-to-coast.
In addition to Celtic music, Celia performs music from the Adult Contemporary, New Thought and Social Justice/Political genres. Her music in recent years has been described as "Celtic Earthy Indie." In her concerts, she often uses sophisticated "looping" technology to perform duets, trios, and even larger ensembles with herself. Nothing is pre-recorded. She lays down a track right on stage as part of the song, then using the looping technology, she harmonizes with herself -- all live and in real time. The result is an amazing listening experience for the audience.
Her concerts usually include surprise visits from some of her "friends" -- comedic alter-egos, such as The Trestle Foote Faerie, Gisela Sneezenkoff, or Libby the Librarian.

"She has a silky smooth voice that she uses to deliver music so beautiful that it would be the envy of a choir angel. And she has a sense of humor and comedic timing that would tickle the funny-bone of the dourest sour-puss around."
